June Photo Hunt 2020

Hello everyone.  This will be short and to the point!  Been so busy of late that I nearly had to give this a miss but I've gone up a gear so here are my photos!

1   Mr garden

Just a tiny view showing a bit of the woodland area and the water
that flows through it.  It was all weeds when we moved here
5 years ago...

2   Flowers

Nectaroscordum siculum - bees love it.

3  Insects

A bee fly - click here to read about it.

4  Sunset/sunrise

5  Something wild

Taken last week in my garden; adult male on the right and juveniles left and centre.

6  Own choice

Had to wait 2 years since we last had ducklings at our kitchen door.  Mother duck
regularly comes for wheat.

Phew, made it.  Bye!

    1. I suspect the duck and ducklings will be a popular photo. It is mine favourite and we feel so lucky she feels confident to bring the little ones to see us.

  4. Love your wooded patch and stream. Funny you should choose a picture of a duck and ducklings as I've included one too (but I think yours is better).

  7. Thank you for sharing the lovely photos. I love the one of your garden and the ducklings are very cute too. I think my favourite is the one with the woodpeckers - we get them too on our bird feeder. Take care.

    1. Thanks for your comments. I think the ducklings are just a beak ahead over the woodpeckers for being my favourites! I've tried to take photos of my whole garden but have failed but then again I'm only a point and shoot photographer.

    1. Thanks! It's only a small area but it is one of my favourite places in my garden. I can be in it and no-one can see me but I can see them!! I've already made a start on the July photo hunt as I know I'll be busy next month too!

  11. Excuse late comments, had PC trouble. It went off at the same time as a flash of lightening. So had to call in youngest grandson to help. Lovely pictures. Like most of the others I love your ducklings but do appreciate your woodland area as I remember it being bare with a few weeds. Amazing what a bit of love and attention and the passing of time can do to a garden. xx
