30 April 2021 Photo Hunt - Bubbles

Well it's Friday and that means I'd better get this post organised!  I had to wait until yesterday before I could source my last photo.  My poor brain has had to work a lot as my original idea was not going to happen!

This must have been taken by the little girl's mum in July
2003 when she and I were blowing bubbles; I stumbled
across this photo and I think I can recall the event,
18 years ago....

These remind me of bubbles encased in ice.....  hope you think
so too!  From February 2021 in a little trench at our fields.

On a walk with a friend this week at our local nature park and I
did hope I might find some bubbles!  Yes I did.

Here are a few more.

Remember this chocolate bar?  With all the bubbles?
I had to go out and buy a bar (well a pack of three..)!!

Click here to read more about the history of Aero.

Yes, I felt the bubbles melt!

As usual, thanks Astrid and I'll be regularly checking with you to see who else has contributed and what brilliant ideas they have!

Bye!

  1. Oooh Aero ... one of my favourites and definitely fitting in well with this weeks challenge ... I missed a trick there as would obviously have to have then eaten it 😜

  2. What all three..............? You need to buy another pack so you can check they have enough bubbles in and the bubbles have not collapsed!!! My favourite picture is of the frozen bubbles. They remind me of watching glass being blown by hand. xx

    1. Glass blowing is a good analogy, clever you. I've seen glass blowing but I don't have any photos. I can vouch that none of the bubbles had collapsed.... xx

  3. I had the same thought as Jak about the ice bubbles looking like glass blowing. And Aero - I love the mint ones but haven't had any in ages.

    1. You and Jak have great minds! I was offered the mini Aeros but declined. I do like minty chocolate (eg After Eights) but I recall eating a mint Aero and not enjoying it at all!

  4. Great photos & I must admit that when I saw the frozen bubble I too thought of glass blowing & remembered the Marble Factory down in Cornwall where we watched them making marbles. The little girl often blows bubbles for her baby brother & we can see them floating over our fence. Take care, stay safe & hugs. PS: I'll leave the Aero Bars to you all, as I find milk chocolate way too sweet.

    1. Can't believe I could not see the ice bubbles as blown glass. I must live on another planet as it is so obvious.... worry not as I'll not be forcing you to eat any of the Aero bars; they were quite small and soon disappeared...

  5. Yes, glass bubbles, they're perfect! Shoot, I might have had a photo of that somewhere.
I wonder what critter created those bubbles in the water?
Ah, Aero bars. It's been a long time since I've enjoyed one of those, I might have to look for one today. Thanks for sharing!

    1. 'Water bubbles' were created by very cold weather making the water drop on a grass stem freeze and then more water and more freezing made the bubble bigger. The Aero bars were not as tasty as I remember them being....
